What Is My IP
See the public connection address and selected network metadata observed by Cloudflare.
This sends a same-origin request so Cloudflare can report the address it observes. IP location is an estimate, not your precise location.
Reading the connection observed by Cloudflare…
How to use What Is My IP
- Open the page with JavaScript enabled; a same-origin request reads the connection.
- Inspect the observed address and the availability of each field.
- Refresh when changing networks, and review the result before copying or sharing it.
Example
Input / settings:
Illustrative connection: IPv4 through a proxy, with optional network metadata.
Output:
Illustrative output (not your connection): Observed public IP: 203.0.113.10 Address family: IPv4 Country (IP estimate): Unavailable
When to use
- Check the exit address after enabling a VPN.
- Compare the address seen by a CDN with a network configuration.
- Read available connection protocol and edge metadata while troubleshooting.
Overview
See the public connection address and selected network metadata observed by Cloudflare.
Supported input
One connection request from this browser to the same-origin Cloudflare endpoint. There is no address or URL input.
Output details
One observed IP family plus available country, region, ASN, organization, colo, HTTP/TLS, and TCP or QUIC RTT metadata. Missing values are marked Unavailable.
Limitations
- This observes one connection family; it does not test whether both IPv4 and IPv6 are reachable.
- A VPN, proxy, or carrier network can change the address observed. IP geolocation is approximate, not a precise location.
- ASN organization is the network owner, not necessarily your contracted ISP.
- RTT and TLS values describe the client-to-Cloudflare connection, not an arbitrary target server or internet speed.
- Local environments cannot supply a verified public connection result. The API can be disabled or unavailable.
Privacy and security
This tool requests connection metadata from a same-origin Cloudflare endpoint. Our application does not persist the IP or result; Cloudflare processes requests for hosting and security.

Frequently asked questions
Why is this different from my local network address?
Your router, carrier, VPN, or proxy can translate or relay traffic. Cloudflare reports the address it sees, not your device's private Wi-Fi address.
Does this prove IPv6 connectivity?
No. An IPv6 result shows that this request used an IPv6 address. It does not measure reachability to other services or test both families.
Why are some fields Unavailable?
Cloudflare may not provide every field. QUIC RTT applies to QUIC connections and TCP RTT applies to TCP; local or disabled endpoints may provide no result.
Is my IP saved?
Our application does not persist the IP or result. Cloudflare processes connection information for hosting, security, and request limiting. Copy writes the displayed fields to your clipboard only when selected.
